A Sustainable Tomorrow
Tradeware is committed to reducing its environmental impact, recognizing the importance of sustainability to customers, staff, and shareholders.
In FY24, our emissions totaled 1,530 tonnes of CO2 equivalent. To reduce future emissions, we will focus on managing fleet cars, waste disposal, and electricity use. To achieve carbon neutrality, we are offsetting our FY24 emissions - an important milestone for our business.
Waste & Recycling
At Tradeware, we are committed to responsible waste management and recycling. To strengthen our sustainability efforts, we have implemented Bin Thinking’s waste and recycling program across all our offices.
Bin Thinking provides interactive and engaging education on waste and recycling for schools, community groups, and businesses. The program helps build a deeper understanding of recycling processes and how materials are repurposed into valuable new products. Through immersive learning, it promotes best practices in waste management, exploring concepts like the waste hierarchy and the circular economy.
Sustainable Packaging Leadership
At Tradeware, we are committed to reducing the environmental impact of packaging and supporting a circular economy. To drive meaningful change, we have partnered with The Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO), a not-for-profit organization leading sustainable packaging initiatives in Australia.
APCO works collaboratively across the packaging supply chain to keep materials out of landfill and maximize their value within the local economy. As part of the Australian Packaging Covenant, APCO plays a key role in managing a national regulatory framework that ensures businesses and governments share responsibility for sustainable packaging solutions.
Sustainable Fleet Transition
At Tradeware, we are committed to making conscious, environmentally responsible decisions across our operations. As part of this commitment, we are transitioning our vehicle fleet to hybrid cars.
This shift will significantly reduce our fuel consumption and lower emissions associated with business travel. By choosing hybrid vehicles, we are taking another important step toward operating more sustainably and reducing our overall environmental footprint.
Empowering Lives
